Get the Facts on Competitive Bidding - October 2010

Regardless of what you are hearing about Competitive Bidding, you still have the choice to call Integrated Medical for all your patients' durable medical equipment needs.

1.  Bid winners were supposed to have been announce in September of 2010

2.  On October 14, 2010, HomeCare Monday sent a special alert from Medicare stating "it would delay release of the list of contract winners in the Round 1 rebid of competitive bidding."

3.  As of October 21, 2010 Medicare has still not released the bid winners which also means that the winners may not all be chosen at this point.

4.  All companies that are a Medicare provider are still able to provide any and all equipment until AT LEAST December 31, 2010.

5.  It is slander for a company to tell you that you cannot use Integrated Medical any longer for services as it is not true.

Integrated Medical Offers Competitive Bidding

Integrated Medical Now Offers Financing

CLEVELAND, Oh. — June 24, 2010 — Integrated Medical is now pleased to offer financing. Unfortunately, there are times when Medicare and Insurances do not pay for items that are needed. Financing is now available to customers in order to make obtaining the necessary medical equipment that they need. It eliminates the upfront cost of the purchase, and allows customers to pay a modest monthly payment. Integrated Medical Helping Senators Fix HB 499 Bill

CLEVELAND, Oh. — June 18, 2010 — Integrated Medical is a medical equipment company providing services such as oxygen, wheelchairs and hospital beds to patients at home. Integrated Medical is pushing along the efforts of Senators Sue Morano (D - 13th district) and Jimmy Stewart (R - 20th district) who have announced plans to introduce a companion bill to HB 499 to fix bundling. HB 499 was introduced by Rep. Kenny Yuko in April and proposes to fix the bundling problem caused by consolidating reimbursement of ancillary services for Ohio Medicaid beneficiaries in nursing homes. The bill, with over 30 bi-partisan co-sponsors, has been assigned to the House Finance Committee but Chairman Vernon Sykes has yet to call for a hearing. Integrated Medical Announces New Canal Fulton Location

CLEVELAND, Oh. — February 12, 2010 — Integrated Medical is pleased to announce the opening of their new location in Canal Fulton, Ohio. The office is run by Rocky Barker and is a retail location that is open Monday through Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm. Integrated Medical carries respiratory, rehab and DME including oxygen, wheelchairs, hospital beds, lift chairs and bathroom equipment. This is their fourth location and adds to their current offices in Cleveland, Kent and Mount Vernon. CLEVELAND, Oh. — February 12, 2010 — Integrated Medical, a durable home medical equipment company, has achieved the Award of Accreditation from the Healthcare Quality Association on Accreditation, based in Waterloo, Iowa. Integrated Medical, Cleveland, Ohio, earned the three-year accreditation after completing a comprehensive application that focuses on patient care, financial stability, and a commitment to quality operational practices and procedures. Accreditation by the Healthcare Quality Association on Accreditation assures Medicare and other payers that the highest levels of quality are practiced within all areas of the company.

Educational Seminar - May 2009

On Friday May 29, Integrated Medical held its 7th annual Educational Seminar for over 125 medical staff in our community including physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, nurses and social workers.  It was held at the Sheraton Suites in Cuyahoga Falls from 8:00am till 4:00pm.  The theme this year centered on our Military, Veterans and Memorial Day since it was held on the Memorial Day holiday weekend.  Integrated Medical wishes to thank Liz Stevens for contributing her services to the Seating Seminar portion.  In lieu of payment she asked that a donation be made to local charity organizations.  Integrated Medical made a donation to two organizations in her name: $1000 to the Paralyzed Veterans of America and $1000 to the Disabled American Veterans.  Integrated Medical also wishes to thank John Bertschler, owner of Northcoast Conflict Solutions, for providing the talk for the Ethics session.
